Abstract

The main obejcetive of this study is to synthesize 2-(substituted phenyl)-3-[{4-(1-naphthyl)-1, 3-thiazol-2-yl} amino]-5-methyl-1, 3-thiazolidin-4-ones (TM1-TM10) from 1-acetyl naphthalene. The synthesized compound, characterized on the basis of satisfactory analytical and spectral (IR, H1NMR, Mass) data, have shown moderate to good antidiabetic activity.

Keywords

Antihyperglycemic activity, 1-Acetylnaphthalene, Thiazoles, Thiazolidinones
