Abstract

An efficient synthesis of 3, 5-disubstituted-2-pyrazoline was carried out by the condensation of chalcones with hydrazine hydrate in ethanol in presence of piperidine. The newly synthesized compounds were characterized by 1H NMR spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, MS, elemental analysis and screened for their antimicrobial activity against various strains of bacteria and fungi.
